Delete Your NerdSync Account
You can delete your NerdSync account at any time. You have two options.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
Step 1. Open NerdSync on your phone.
Step 2. Go to Profile tab → Settings.
Step 3. Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
Step 4. Confirm when prompted. Your account and data will be deleted within 30 days.
Option 2 — Email request
If you cannot access the App, email us from the address associated with your account:

Subject: Account Deletion Request
Body: Please include the email address or username on your NerdSync account.
We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, display name, photos, bio, interests, and vibe scores
- Your connections and match history
- Your private messages (from your side; the other party's copy will show your name as "Deleted user")
- Your uploaded verification photos (selfie and ID)
- Your location data
- Your subscription metadata (please cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play settings separately)
What may be retained
For legal, safety, and fraud-prevention reasons, we may retain the following in anonymized or minimal form:
- Reports filed against your account (if any), stripped of personal detail
- Transaction records required by tax and financial regulations
- Logs required to detect and prevent abuse (kept for up to 12 months)
Cancel subscriptions first
Deleting your NerdSync account does not cancel an active Apple or Google subscription. Cancel it first:
- iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → NerdSync → Cancel
- Android: Play Store app → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → NerdSync → Cancel
